The Year In Review: Part One
Michael + Alexis ...
Michael and Alexis, who live in New York but will be married in the Detroit area next May, stopped by last week to have their engagement portraits made. We did their session at Cranbrook, which is where Michael proposed.
Cranbrook is, of course, always beautiful, and it was a real pleasure to spend time there with two people who are so obviously in love. Here's a little bit of what we saw.
kristen + dan ...
Kristen and Dan are old friends. They have known each other since third grade and they seem totally and completely comfortable with one another. When you are with them, you feel as if you are one of their old friends, too.
They are getting married in a few weeks, so we went back to the "scene of the crime" -- Lakewood Elementary School -- for their e-session. Good times. Take a look:
On the Town with David and Jen ...
We had a fabulous time in Chicago with David and Jen.
We love travel, photography, and clients who really "get" what we're all about. With Jen and David's e-session, we had the rare occasion to find all three things at the same time.
We were treated like royalty (Thank you for the car and driver, Mrs. S.! That was such a divine extravagance) and we had so much fun that it was really hard to believe that we were actually at work. But work we did, and we have the photos to prove it (yes, that's Garrett laying on the ground -- there's not much we won't do to get the shot we want!)
Jen and David, we're so excited for your wedding next year and just thrilled that we'll be working with Ryan Koral and Andrea Solomon, too. Thanks so much for inviting us to spend the day with you.
Enjoy your sneak peek:
Jenny + Mike ...
Jenny and Mike came in from San Francisco last weekend to have their engagement photos made. We had a terrific time with them on the central campus of the University of Michigan, which is where they met. They were great sports (Jenny, I know you were cold without that coat) and before we knew it, we'd shot tons of images.
If I had to describe this couple in three words, I'd choose beautiful, happy, and fun.
We're really looking forward to their wedding in June. Here's some of what we saw:
