Calling All Indie Brides . . .
You know the type: she knows who she is and what she wants in life and in her wedding. Her wedding day is about her new marriage, her friends, and her family and it is not necessarily about rules and regulations that other people have invented for her. This bride likes to do things her way. She has style and spirit, wit and charm, and she wants those things reflected in her wedding ceremony and reception. Finding the right photographer is also very important to her.
If you are that bride, or if you know that bride, then I want to talk to you.
We have a select number of dates left to fill in 2008 and I would like to photograph as many "indie" weddings as I possibly can. Some of them may be included in a special project that I have in mind for 2009.
What is an "indie" wedding? Wonderfully, I believe there's no definition that's set in stone. The independent bride does not have a certain age, budget, or style. What she does have is fierce independence and a desire to do things that follow her own fashion. She is modern, fun-loving, and full of wonderful ideas that she will use to personalize her wedding day.
If this describes you, and if you are getting married in 2008, email me now and tell me about your wedding plans. If you are open to giving your photographer complete creative freedom, I would love to talk with you about how we can work together.

I've had the pleasure of working with Holly at Pink Ink Studios from time to time. In case you don't know, Pink Ink is a terrific design house that creates all kinds of fabulous cards and other goodies for photographers, scrapbookers and other artists. I really love their products (if you are a Studio Sinead wedding client, Holly designed the Christmas card that you received in December,) so you can imagine how surprised I was when Holly told me that I am this month's Pink Ink Spotlight Photographer! She even interviewed me and published some of my work. What fun!

We had a fantastic time yesterday at the Whimsical Occasions Bridal Show at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. It was such a pleasure to meet and chat with so many of you. If I'd known bridal shows were this much fun, I'd have started doing them years ago! Here are a couple of shots of our booth. Please excuse the lighting -- it was out of our control. I wanted to take more pictures, but you guys kept us so busy that there really wasn't time. Our booth was mobbed from the beginning of the show to the very end. At one point we had a bit of a line and if you were waiting and didn't get a chance to talk with us, please email me. I'd love to have the opportunity to meet you.

Did You Know ? . . .
I was surprised to have someone tell me today that she thought a Studio Sinead wedding was out of the question for her because of budgetary concerns. I want to tell you that this isn't necessarily the case! We have collections starting from $2,700.00 -- $2,500.00 on Fridays. Call or email the studio for more information.
